Tried the winter squash (starter), buttermilk fried chicken and the salmon. Everything was on point, ESPECIALLY the squash which is a MUST try, if you're in the area. The blueberry mocktail is also exquisite. Special shout-out to the super friendly staff.

We had the pleasure of dining at Oak and Reed recently, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! We began our meal with the cornbread served with apple spice butter, which was a delightful combination of sweet and savory. The broccoli cheddar soup was rich and comforting, perfectly seasoned and a must-try! For our main courses, we enjoyed the O&R 10oz burger and the buttermilk sandwich. Both dishes were crafted with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavor. Our waitress was attentive and pleasant, adding to the overall warm atmosphere of the restaurant. The attention to detail in both service and food quality made this dining experience unforgettable.

I had the pleasure of working with Laura to plan my baby shower here at her restaurant. She made everything so super easy and accommodating. The place is beautiful, the staff is amazing. It was all around just perfect. Laura is so sweet and you can see that she takes pride in what she does along with taking care of her employees. My guests couldn't stop talking about how good the food was and how cute everything came out. We chose to do a lunch buffet style so that everyone could try all the great dishes they have to offer. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to throw a party. Thank you so much for making my baby shower so so special! We will definitely make a stop in to see you with our new baby.

We attended a baby shower today at Oak & Reed and had such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The venue was beautiful, the food was absolutely delicious, and the entire staff was phenomenal with such a large crowd. A special thank you to Lexi, who truly went above and beyond all day. She was attentive, kind, professional, and made everyone feel taken care of. Honestly, all of the staff members were fantastic, but Lexi especially stood out for how hard she worked and how genuinely caring she was. The food was outstanding as well — the chicken & waffles were incredible and definitely something I would highly recommend! If you’re looking for a place for a party, shower, dinner, or special event, I highly recommend Oak & Reed. We had a great experience and will absolutely be back!

Came here for dinner with a friend and was not disappointed. We ended up sharing 3 appetizers and I'd recommend the Korean fried broccoli and the Yellowtail from the raw bar, both were great. For mains we both opted for the lobster rolls with a house salad. Finished off with dessert, where we both agreed to go with the lemon curd with berry compote...dessert was outstanding. I know the menu changes seasonally...I'd definitely like to sample more from their menu as everything was good.

We have been trying to go here for a while and each time it was a private event. Finally on Valentine’s Day we got in on a limb sat at the bar and it was better than I ever expected. From the moment we sat down to the moment we left the service was amazing. The food was spectacular and so were the drinks. We cant wait to go back.

We hosted our rehearsal dinner (~50 people) at Oak & Reed and had a wonderful experience! The family style menu has many of the most well-reviewed dishes. The Korean fried broccoli and homemade cornbread appetizers in particular stood out for being delicious and unique. We also thoroughly enjoyed the crisps on top of the little gem caesar, the whipped potatoes, and bread basket. Multiple guests mentioned how the lemonade was tart in a good way (as in fresh) and complimented the fusilli beef bolognese. There was plenty of food so everyone had the opportunity to try each dish. The staff were very friendly and considerate as they waited until our speeches were finished to serve the entrees. The team was very attentive to our guests with food allergies and dietary restrictions, ensuring they knew which dishes were safe and providing alternatives when necessary. Laura was extremely responsive and provided a table layout that was very helpful for planning. In addition, she made custom menus to match our wedding aesthetic. We really appreciated her offer to provide bud vases, table numbers, and an easel for our seating chart as it was convenient and looked very nice. Oak & Reed exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend them!

Oak & Reed is truly one of Middletown’s finest dining gems. This place borders on fine dining without the pretentious prices or attitude. It’s no surprise that it’s one of the most sought-after spots in the area — the food, the presentation, the service, everything is done with real care. Their brunch menu is absolutely outstanding: delicious, unique, and thoughtfully crafted. Every dish feels special, and the flavors stand out in a way you don’t find just anywhere. But what really sets Oak & Reed apart are the prices. For the quality, the creativity, and the portion sizes you get, the value is unbelievable. Even with drinks included, the total for two people feels more than fair — it feels like a deal. Everything is served beautifully, everything tastes amazing, and everything makes you want to come back. I honestly can’t rave about this place enough. Oak & Reed is a must-visit.

This was my second event at Oak & Reed, and once again, everything was absolutely wonderful. This time I hosted a Kentucky Derby themed brunch with my “Chicas del Cafecito,” and the experience was amazing from beginning to end. The food, the service, the atmosphere, everything was beautiful and exceeded expectations. Working with Laura has been such a pleasure. She is always so kind, professional, accommodating, and attentive to every detail. She truly helps make the entire planning process smooth and enjoyable. I absolutely love hosting events here and look forward to many more in the future. Highly recommend!
